Main attractions

Make a stop at Castello di Tabiano

A turreted landmark rising from the Emilian hills, Castello di Tabiano brings together medieval stonework with magnificent stuccoes and frescoes. “Take your time to explore the grounds and enjoy the views over the countryside,” enthuses Anita. “The castle is beautiful, but the surrounding landscape is what makes the experience truly magical.” Afterwards, wind your way down to the thermal springs of Tabiano, known as the Breathing Spa, to soak up its restorative properties. Visit: Labirinto della Masone

“Unique, fascinating, immersive.” Created by art publisher Franco Maria Ricci at the suggestion of his friend, literary giant Jorge Luis Borges, this monumental maze is cultivated from 300,000 bamboo canes, making it one of the largest in the world. Follow its rustling corridors and you’ll emerge, unexpectedly, onto a private art collection spanning the Renaissance to the twentieth century. “Parma offers the perfect combination of culture, gastronomy and elegance, while still feeling authentic and relaxed.”

Signature flavours

Lunch: At Bistrò Il Labirinto in Fontanellato

Tortelli d’erbetta tell the story of Parma’s gastronomic tradition through a recipe passed down over time. “You absolutely have to try them. It’s a traditional dish from the Parma area and one of my favorites,” Anita says. Prepared fresh every morning, these delicate parcels of pasta filled with herbs and ricotta are served with melted butter and aged Parmigiano Reggiano. An iconic dish that, perfected over generations, reflects all the passion Parma devotes to its cuisine.

“Start with a relaxed breakfast in the city, explore cultural landmarks, enjoy local cuisine for lunch, discover hidden gems in the countryside, and end the day with a sunset aperitivo surrounded by beautiful scenery.”

Shop: Coccinelle

Founded in 1978 in Sala Baganza, a diminutive town nestled in the Parma hills, Coccinelle is synonymous with fine leather craftsmanship and feminine silhouettes. Find polished carryalls for city breaks and coastal escapes, crafted in beautifully finessed leathers. Fidenza Village Discover Coccinelle

Shop: Borsalino

Few fashion labels can claim genuine cultural mythology, but Borsalino is one of them. Since Giuseppe Borsalino opened his atelier in Alessandria in 1857, the milliner has dressed screen legends and heads of state across generations through an unwavering commitment to craft. The styles that define summer reflect a way of making that has changed little in over a century and feel even more precious for it. Fidenza Village Discover Borsalino

Shop: Vilebrequin

What started as a small boutique in St-Tropez in 1971 has become a byword for resortwear. The swimwear is iconic, but the broader edit, from lightweight linen shirts to beach accessories, makes it worth creating a travel capsule around for harbour-side lunches and hidden coves.
