The Day of the Dead altar
The Day of the Dead ofrenda is a ritual to welcome souls and honour loved ones. Photographs, favourite dishes and drinks are combined with candles, water, salt and incense to create a space of memory and celebration. Traditionally, the altar is built to show three levels: heaven, earth and the underworld.
